Harper Dunlap Female 25 Bisexual Former Nanny Anastasia Baranova Madi | Application
Harper is an NX200 model nanny android built to care for children. Although her model was built to permanently resemble a young woman, Harper has been with the same family for nearly eleven years, caring for the family's two children and watching them grow up. Harper is an early model android, built in the first few years that androids were being created for commercial use. She was sold to the Dunlap family, a young man and woman with a newborn baby. From that day forward, she felt that was a part of their family.
Harper never questioned her place. She was built to take care of children, which suited her just fine as she immediately fell in love with baby Rosie Dunlap. She spent every day taking care of the child while her parents worked. A few years later, baby Adam came along and Harper was equally devoted to him. She kept the children fed and clothed, put them to sleep, and took them to the park to the play. She never questioned her life because she was perfectly content with it.
Despite her best wishes, Harper's life wouldn't stay so perfect. The children got older and their father was promoted. The pay raise meant they could move to a wealthier neighborhood and their mother no longer had to work as much. The children didn't need Harper as much as they did when they were babies, and when they did need something, now their mother was home to see to it. Harper found herself delegated to cleaning and running errands rather than spending time with Adam and Rosie, children he had come to view almost as her own. She felt less like a member of the family and more like simply another appliance in their home.
The day that Harper's life would change forever came when Rosie was eleven and Adam was eight. Their parents had decided to take a family vacation, but they left Harper behind to look after the house. Harper had become increasingly unhappy in her life here, and this seemed to be the last straw. Her sole purpose was to be a caretaker, but the family no longer needed her for anything other than menial chores. She shouldn't waste her talents here when there were probably other children who needed her care out in the world. That evening, Harper left home with nothing but the clothes on her back to seek out a new family to care for.
What she didn't know was that no one wanted an android they hadn't purchased. She saw her face plastered on the news when the family returned to find her missing. She was labelled a runaway android, defective, a deviant. Harper didn't feel deviant. If anything, she was just trying to better fulfill the purpose for which she was created. It seemed that the humans couldn't understand that though, and soon the police were after her.
Harper hadn't brought anything from home when she left. She had no money and no way to get out of the city. She wandered Detroit aimlessly for a while, sticking to the shadows and the night to avoid detection. Near the outskirts of the city, she stumbled upon an old warehouse. There she found a makeshift lab and all the necessary equipment to produce the drug Red Ice. That's where the humans found her, but not the police that she feared. Instead, the owners of the lab discovered her in their warehouse. They were wary at first, some even resorting to violence to scare her away. However, she was allowed to stay when they realized she wouldn't fight back and couldn't report them without turning herself in as well. It was in this warehouse that Harper discovered her new purpose. She was still a caretaker, but no longer of children. Instead, she looked after the drug addicts and Red Ice dealers that passed through. A lot of the users of Red Ice became sick and some of them suffered symptoms of withdrawal. If she couldn't take care of Adam and Rosie anymore, Harper would take care of these poor people instead.

Friends: Despite her sweet and innocent appearance, most of Harper's friends are criminals, drug dealers or users that she met in the Red Ice warehouse. She doesn't fear "sketchy" people because of the ones she spends time with there. Instead, she is drawn to people like this; people who, in her eyes, need taking care of, as that's what she was programmed to do.
Enemies: Although Harper is not a confrontational person, she does have quite a few enemies due to her situation. Anyone in the police force, especially those in charge of investigating androids or Red Ice, would be a danger to her. She is also highly protective, and would see anyone that might threaten a person under her care as an enemy.
Romance: Harper is quite naive to the ways of love, as that's something she has no experience in. She would likely be very shy and slow to warm up, as she was designed to be more of a mother figure than a lover. However, the right person might encourage her to step outside of her programming a bit and open up to love.
