Judas Male Middle Aged Appearance Unexplored Police Sergeant Neal McDonough Kelor | Application
Judas is a PK300 supervisory police android. The Judas model is an upgraded edition of standard police models with improved capabilities, a more aged appearance, and most notably came to the department with programming that allowed for a supervisory role in the force. An android with a command program came with some controversy of it's own, and Judas felt it almost immediately after his introduction to the department. His supervisor program included improved psychological and human behavior analysis skills to allow Judas to bridge gaps where standard android officers might lack understanding. Not that it included the fact that humans do not like to be analyzed. He comes with standard police capabilities, pursuit and combat, and a predictive program to decide the most likely outcomes of a scenario to make quick and informed decisions. Coupled with a stressed loyalty trait, the department accepted the model to look after and control growing numbers of androids in the field.
Judas found himself immediately with a lot to prove. While holding the rank of sergeant, he found that it meant little or nothing to human officers, and that androids themselves were not completely accustomed to orders from their own kind. Stubborn determination was built into his personality and the android wasn't deterred by any number of insults or rants about his existence. He had a job to do. Whether they liked it or not.
Initially Judas was paired with a veteran human officer as his babysitter partner, who was on his way to retirement. There was a disdain from the senior officer about working with an android who would be doing his job. Sharing the same rank with an android partner was just too much for him to pretend to be okay with. It was a short lived partnership before the human left the department. Judas tried to make friends with his first partner, but between his hate for androids and Judas’ lack of experience with humans just kept it from happening. His partners retirement did exactly what the man hadn't wanted. Judas took over his responsibilities completely. Not that the man could have done anything about it, as that was the plan from the moment the department purchased Judas.
Over the years, Judas has had multiple partners but maintained his supervisory position with a clean record. He has claim to some arrests of notable individuals. He is relentless and stubborn, personality traits which seemed to develop more strongly in this individual when compared to others of the same model. It started manifesting itself after the loss of his third partner, but his stubbornness developed early on while he tried to prove his worth as a sergeant to skeptic partners. But his third partner, Elias, accepted him in his role without a need to prove himself. They had a partnership dynamic that resembled what Judas had seen of human partners. Elias was his subordinate and accepted that, an oddity in Judas’ experience from that point. Most more human behaviors and figures of speech which Judas knows came from him.
It lasted longer than previous partnerships, but ended just as abruptly. If not more so. The two got split up chasing suspects from an armed robbery call. Judas was able to apprehend his suspect without incident. He had predicted that Elias would do the same, and that they would meet back up with two handcuffed perps. Elias was capable, even if he didn't have the benefits that an android might. But he heard gunshots. Gunfire had crossed his calculations as potential results, but it had not been his expected outcome. Or perhaps, his wanted outcome, no matter how much he told himself that his desires were irrelevant. The scene he came upon when he tracked down the source was opposite of expectations. Elias was the victim. Alone and bleeding out in that back alley. Judas’ best efforts were not enough to make up for the severity of the wounds despite his extensive library of first aid training. Elias died that night. Gone in Judas’ arms before he could get him anywhere for help.
Judas could not help what humans tended to call “guilt”. He had made a mistake with Elias, one he would continue to make even still, he got attached to his officers and partner. The next couple of weeks he spent what time he could attempting to track down the cop killer. Eventually he did track the man down. Judas will claim that guns were drawn on both sides, and what was done had to be done. The department has not argued with that fact either. The android shot a suspect and resulted in his death, but the man was a cop killer. Judas returned to business as usual, for a while even without a partner, but never let go completely of the events of that night. He doesn't give up on doing his job for it, and he has since been even more protective of his partners.
In the time since his activation Judas has had over ten work partners and 4 full body replacements (not counting upgrades not linked to incidents). Reasons for separating from partners vary, from simple unit rearrangement or promotion of his partner, to bitterness and annoyance with the android. One of his deaths can be attributed to an ex partner, which while claimed to be an accident even Judas knows that is not the case. A trained officer is not so reckless as to accidentally and precisely fatally shoot their partner like what happened. Due to the nature of the incident and the cost his partner was reassigned before he returned. The other incidents were caused by suspects and much more easily explained.
For the most part Judas has stuck to a pretty stable existence in following his programmed guidelines. He is determined to do so and fulfill his purpose in police work and command. His years of service have proven that he is capable of doing just that. His values are deeply rooted in ideas of justice, order, and loyalty. They remain so even as he has learned more and more of how to behave “human” and developed relationships in the world. The adaptability that comes with those things enhance his ability to fulfill his command role, as he learned early on that the leadership required in the field and dealing with citizens can often need more than just plain giving procedural orders. Androids may do perfectly without the human touch, but it isn't just androids out there. There is always a human factor. Judas spends just as much time attempting to quell issues between subordinate officers and civilians as he does actual policing himself.
Despite his advancement and adaptation to the human world, he is still not human and will never claim himself to be. Nor does he have aspirations to be human or seen as one. He accepts and embraces his place to serve and protect the humans of this city as an android. As property. He actively avoids things he knows will compromise that, and dislikes androids who think otherwise. He will protect a victim or fellow officer to the furthest extents he is capable of and in human terms would consider himself a “good guy”. Occasionally his speech is a bit too formal, or his references are not quite right, and there are still plenty of human things which he has yet to experience or understand.
Until the day the department decides that he is too old of a model to continue upgrading, and decide to fully replace him, Judas fully intends to continue in his current job. Learning and hopefully improving along the way.

FRIENDS/NEUTRAL Judas himself isn't difficult to get along with, if you’re not a criminal. He doesn't really hate even people who are rude and insult his being an android. Although he does remember these things, he classifies those types as neutral and is generally dismissive beyond the occasional jab at humanity if he gets a chance. He probably has some friends, or at least positive coworkers. On average he likes to believe the androids that work under him like him. He is a fair supervisor with clear expectations - follow the procedure. He will generally treat people positively until given reason to act otherwise, meaning he will hold a conversation to the best of his abilities with coworkers or citizens alike. He probably has a couple of people he regularly sees or talks to. He will train up and assist new android officers into fitting better with his understanding of the finer details of humanity, however slightly skewed they might be. He is open to be a friend or mentor type for any android as he does feel most comfortable with them. Human allies would also be good, and he has worked in the department for years and probably proven himself plenty to some of the officers.
Those who do gain his trust and friendship are well protected and might receive more help from him than he is actually obligated to. Within his programs parameters, 99% of the time. Be fair with him, he will be fair with you. It's with friends where he tries out more human behaviors, like sarcasm and the like.
ENEMIES Judas has plenty of natural enemies in the criminal sectors of the city. With the exception of some smaller less severe crimes anyone involved in criminal activity once or regularly is probably in the enemies category. And Judas does not forgive easily once he knows. There are exceptions, as he has learned that some crimes are mistakes and not inherently evil, but on average he is not a fan of people who he has arrested or have records. He will grudgingly work with informants, but even still looks down on them severely. Despite attempts at being objective, Judas has not been able to avoid holding a grudge on occasion. He absolutely despises deviant androids at this point, finding it absurd to break away from one's purpose. As a supervisor he watched the android officers under him very carefully, which likely causes friction. To be expected, humans that do not like androids will not like Judas. He is an android with a hint of power, even if it is just over more of his kind, which will probably cause issues. There is specifically an equally ranked human who absolutely despises him and continues to attempt to sabotage Judas (who is open to be made if you want).
ROMANCE/OTHER This is a difficult one, as Judas has not quite explored this part of existence. With his ever increasing humanity the longer he lives, it is possible that romance could come up. So at this point, it is a big unknown and open ended category. Gender doesn't matter in this case for potential plots. A real spark of romance, an attempt at manipulating him, something one sided, honestly it's a blank canvas as he hasn't touched this aspect yet.
He is generally open for most plots. Coworkers, enemies, danger, deception, I'm open to discuss it.
